Whats frustrating to angel inv.estors coinbase inv.estor deck
This is tough because angel invtors is nowhere as homogeneous a group as non invtors think. Its sort of like aski What pains do co.nstruction worrs have? However, Ill take a stab. I was quite active doing 14 invtments over 3 years but have slowed down and hit pause now to focus on my own projects. So Im a bit removed from the emotion and chaos of it all and can look back in a clear manner. In this answer Ill be focusing on people that actually publicly refer to themselves as angels openly and freely. There are lots of successful, wealthy folks that do one off deals. But angel invtor isnt a big part of their identity, mission, and time allocation. Ill focus on invtors that invt their own mon. ey into at least 4 startups per year every year. By SV standards thats low or average. By every other markets standards that the high end of average. 1. The email trap Imagine you won the Powerball. Imagine you publicly create a Twitter account, a website, and start taking interviews about how you want to give 250k per year to several non prots. You are genuine. You are credible. Perhaps even likable. And you seem truly committed to following through on this promise. How many non prot leaders do you think youd get calling you? 1 Emailing you out of the blue? Showing up at your office unannounced? Showing up at your hom.e unannounced? Attacking your LinkedIn profile with vengeance? You have charities that are big, charities that are small. Gen Y dreamers who want to start the next Charity Water. Churches and sports teams and music programs that are hanging by a thread. The amount of people who will jocky for your donations will be fast and furious. You are their savior. You understand their plights. And your intent is clear I want to fund great non prots. How could they NOT go crazy with glee and optimism and chase you down? Hint If you were in a mid sized city like Memphis youd get over 100 people banging down your virtual and physical doors all day, every day, seven days a week. And every time you granted an interview to the media it would triple. If you were in NYC or Chicago where the number of non prots is a magnitude higher then itd be 300 every day. Dont answer all of the requts, you say? Alas, you dont want to be a jerk. Youre trying to help. Helpful people respond to perfectly good people who have good requts, dont they? Its the polite thing to do, isnt it? Set up an application process? But non prots are all so different. No application can possible treat all of them fairly. And you have your natural passions that you want to lean towards. Youre more excited about re engineering education, and you secretly want to donate to those causes without isolating others. Hire someone to filter for you? Perhaps, but then the 250k per year you can give just went down to 200k. That sucks. But maybe. But then again, you are the face of this mission. You should be the one to field the emails and respond, right? Not a virtual assistant or intern or project manager. Theres a trap that exists. Anybody that is ever deploying a scarce resource publicly like mon. ey will always get far more email then then can hopefully manage. When I was in the throes of invting and I was doing it full time I still couldnt respond to about 20pc of all inbound email. Responding with one liners in our culture is rude. So boom, it had to be 2 sentences. But every email I sent, even a Sorry, but Im afraid that this wont be a fit, I dont invt in gaming companies since I dont know the first thing about them would usually lead to 1 3 email back. Theyd want intros to other invtors. Theyd still want coffee. Theyd want feedback on their deck. That all takes time. And massive focus. Time I didnt have and couldnt make, even being my inboxs bitch six days per week. Most invtors respond to much less than 80pc. Some I know purposely dont respond to any cold emailers that are not introduced just as a tt to see if the entrepreneur will try to reach out again. Its their tt to see if the founder has drive and persistence. Its a fair and accurate litmus tt even if it sounds sadistic to the average person. 2 Yet having someone do an angel invtors emailing for them, like an assistant, is often seen as inefficient for the CEO. Or rude. Or arrogant. And FOMO Fear Of Missing Out on the next Uber is a very real dynamic for most serious invtors. Itd be embarrassing if the invtor missed out on Travis Kalanick business persons offer to be in the angel round because their assistant was busy setting up a Skype call with him. 3 Because this is an easy trap, there is no great solution to this pain point, although AngelList, demo days, and angel groups are methods to greatly alleviate. 2. Not enough time, too many NOs See above. Time for me was always allocated to, in order of hight priority Current portfolio

Full in depth review of the $2500 USD Stock Market Lab course by Umar Ashraf after buying it and trading for the past 8 months. Add me on Instagram: XuankaisamaThis is a course for US stock market trading and it consists of scalping, day trading, swing trading, options trading. It is mainly using technical analysis to predict price action and support and resistances to day trade. The day trading strategies and risk management are paramount to becoming a consistently profitable trader. What is the course about? 1) 10 Week Trading Program It’s split up into 17 different sections. The first 3 parts will be about introduction to the stock market, learning about stock market lingo, a little bit of information about options and trading platforms. After that is the meat of the course which of course includes learning about price action, chart patterns, technical indicators and risk management. After that there is a rough introduction of fundamental analysis and knowing about important catalysts. There are also different trading strategies that are taught, followed by how to build a watchlist, how to do trade management and most importantly journaling. After that is one of my favourite parts which is the daytrading and swing trading setups and walk through where umar will break down the live trades that he took, how he rates them and how he can improve during those trades. After the trading setups, there is a deep dive into a trader’s psychology, emotions and how to develop a trader’s mindset. 2) Discord chat On this discord chat there are quite a few chats that you can potentially use to your advantage. There are a lot of chats present but honestly only a few are really useful at this moment to me, so I will only go through those that I find useful. First is the announcements section where ranya who is the community manager will post any new stockmarketlab updates from time to time There is also a webinar schedule where you can find all the webinars that will be held in this month. The weekly calendar channel is also pretty useful as the economic calendar and earnings calendar will be posted every week followed by a weekly breakdown of what has happened in the markets and what economic data has been important to drive the markets up or down. The protraders chat is where you can find all the daily updates on what is happening in the markets and also the latest news/catalysts on various large cap stocks like AAPL, TSLA, AMZN and so on. The trading chat will be the one where you potentially speak to other traders and see what other traders are watching Oh and lastly, there are premarket webinars hosted on discord voice chat every day before market open where you can learn about the news of the day and how the markets are doing and potential key levels to watch out for during the day. 3) StockMarketLab forumYou will probably start off with introducing yourself in the introductions section. You can also see weekly, monthly recaps by other traders and you can read through to see what you can learn from their mistakes One of the most recent things that happened was that Umar hosted a 30 day challenge in January where traders were paired up and had to show up for trading every day for the market open and to document their trades at the end of the day. You can also post your trading struggles/ask questions and Umar might answer them in subsequent webinars. So now let’s move on to the online training webinar. 4) Online Training Webinar All the previous live webinars that were done to educate and help traders were recorded and you can go through them to improve your trading. There are also trader development webinars where umar answers the questions that people in the community have asked either directly to him or on the forum. There are also some charting webinars, trade recaps and member development webinars done previously. 5) Pros and cons of the course 6) Who this course is suitable for?
