Both Sides of the Gender Pronoun Debate [Video]

Have you ever noticed pronouns such as “she/her” written in someone’s email signature? Pronouns are words that can be used to refer to someone without using their name – most commonly, “she” or “he.” But, there are a growing number of people who say they do not identify with gender binaries of “man” or “woman” and therefore prefer to use other pronouns such as “they.” Supporters say using a person’s choice of pronouns fosters an inclusive environment and affirms a person’s own gender identity. Some critics say they do not want to feel forced by others to use these pronouns -- or get “canceled” if they refuse. While this issue is divisive and can’t be solved in an hour, open dialogue between both sides could help foster better understanding and awareness. Dr. Phil meets two LGBTQ+ activists who answer general questions about pronouns and their overall importance. Then, Dr. Phil meets a host and author who disagrees. Next, Dr. Phil talks to a communications professor who specializes in gender and feminism, and two concerned parents who feel discussions about gender pronouns do not belong in schools. Lastly, Dr. Phil meets a guest who is raising their baby as gender neutral. Tune in today to hear this important discussion. (20076)Dr. Phil tells compelling stories about real people. Ontario's top doctor wants to end workplace vaccine policies by next month [Video]

Dr. Kieran Moore says he's reviewing letters of instruction sent last year to various sectors including hospitals and post-secondary institutions which required that they develop immunization policies. Most sectors were instructed to require people get regularly tested for the virus if they're not vaccinated, but many took their policies further and required all workers to get the shots.CHCH News Queen's Park producer Randy Rath asked Dr. Moore what should happen to people that were fired or lost employment because they refused to get vaccinated? Dr. Moore answered, "our policy and recommendation to have an immunization policy, whether you vaccinate or get tested if they've gone forward and had a mandate, it's not our direction, I would leave it up to the individual corporation to negotiate that with their workforce."Rath went on to ask Dr. Moore if he would feel confident that an unvaccinated person could go work in a long-term care facility now and Dr. Moore stated, "I think we've improved the infection and control practices significantly in long-term care. I think as we head to low-risk environments in that setting we should absolutely review all measures that have been put in play."Moore noted that a vaccine mandate for long-term care workers came from the minister responsible for that sector, not the chief medical officer. He says vaccination policies may no longer be necessary, because the period of highest COVID-19 risk is over, and they would ideally lift on March first. That's when proof-of-vaccination rules are set to end for customers in businesses and other indoor settings.

Heal Soreness Faster [Video]

Here's a quick tip to heal muscle soreness faster that I've used for years! It seems obvious to some, but others take their sleep as time to "stretch" and "even out their posture" when our muscles will heal much better if we keep them relaxed while resting.Hope this helps!Legal Notice: Consult your doctor before beginning any kind of exercise program.
