Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
Possible assistance coverage: Air conditioners, refrigerators, stoves, roof leaks, subfloors, broken windows, temporary lodging, electrical, plumbing, and gas systems.
Required information: Current phone number, address, Social Security number; list of damages/losses, insurance policy number/agent/company.
How to apply: Visit disasterassistance.gov/ or call 1-800-621-3362 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days per week.
Once you have applied for FEMA assistance, your case will be reviewed. FEMA agents will not be able to provide information about your damage assessment. A FEMA Inspector will call you to set a time and date to assess your damage. Please continue to monitor the status of your case online.
